He served as President of the Washington Board of Realtors in 1977, was Realtor of the Year in 1981 and was National President of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers in 1981. He was awarded the Martin Eisen Award in 1986 for service to the community by a member of the Washington D.C. Association of Realtors.
