REAL ESTATE VALUATION AND CONSULTING SERVICES:

Evaluation Consultants, Inc. provides consulting services for a variety of clients including appraisers, attorneys, corporations, developers, financial institutions, and institutional investors. The firm specializes in valuation situations requiring financial and economic modeling. The firm works with members of the Real Estate Counseling Group of America to provide valuation services.

Jeffrey D. Fisher, Ph.D., is President of Evaluation Consultants, Inc. and also serves as Director of the Center for Real Estate Studies and Professor of Finance and Real Estate at the Indiana University School of Business. He served as President of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association (AREUEA) in 1990 and Chairman of the Real Estate Center Directors and Chairholders Association in 1986. He currently serves on the board of directors of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) and is a director of MIG Residential Real Estate Investment Trust.

He has completed numerous research projects that were funded by NCREIF, PREA, and the Real Estate Research Institute. He received the 1992 PREA/Graaskamp Award for Research Excellence from the Pension Real Estate Association.

Dr. Fisher has served as a trustee of The Appraisal Foundation since it was formed in 1987 by the major appraisal organizations as a self-regulatory organization and source of standards for the appraisal industry. In his capacity with The Appraisal Foundation, he helped develop the content outline for the uniform national appraisal certification exam and helped develop the Uniform Commercial and Industrial Appraisal Report form.

Professor Fisher has a doctorate in Real Estate from Ohio State University. He is a coauthor of Real Estate, 8th edition published by John Wiley and Sons, coauthor of Real Estate Finance, 8th edition, published by Richard D. Irwin, Inc., and coauthor of the following books that were published by Real Estate Education Company: Questions and Answers to Help You Pass the Appraisal Certification Exam, The Language of Real Estate Appraisal, and Income Property Valuation. He also wrote the chapter on real estate which appears in Managing Investment Portfolios, 1st Edition, for the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (translated into Japanese by the Nikko Research Center, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan).

Dr. Fisher has published numerous articles in journals such as The Journal of the American Real Estate and Urban Economics Association, The Journal of Real Estate Research, Journal of Portfolio Management, National Tax Journal, Public Finance Quarterly, The Appraisal Journal, Real Estate Review, The Real Estate Appraiser and Analyst, Real Estate Issues, and the Journal of Property Tax Management.

Dr. Fisher developed the "Computer-Assisted Investment Analysis " course and, more recently, the " Advanced Income Capitalization" course for the Appraisal Institute. He has also developed numerous seminars for The Appraisal Institute, The American Society of Appraisers, and other appraisal organizations. He developed and taught a Corporate Real Estate Finance course for the International Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives (NACORE). He has participated in several presentations for organizations such as the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA) and the Institute of Property Taxation. He has also been a consultant to appraisers, attorneys, corporations, developers, financial institutions, and other universities and has served as an expert witness on several occasions.
