REAL ESTATE VALUATION AND CONSULTING SERVICES: The Oetzel-Hartman Group, a Michigan Corporation, is a professional firm specializing in real property appraising and counseling established to provide extensive analysis of commercial properties. Services provided by The Oetzel-Hartman Group include real estate appraisals, real estate counseling, market analyses, and feasibility studies. The firm is involved in the analysis of all types of real estate and income-producing properties, including, but not limited to, the following: office, retail, apartments, shopping centers, industrial properties, hotels/motels, medical office, mobile home parks, special purpose properties, condominium and subdivision analyses, and golf courses. Assignments accepted by the firm include feasibility analyses and appraisals, real estate tax appeals, condemnation cases, and other assignments that require real estate expertise. Mr. Hartman graduated from Michigan State University's College of Business with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Finance Administration. He entered the real estate appraising profession in 1989 as an appraiser with a major Chicago, Illinois, firm, before joining The Oetzel-Hartman Group in 1997. He became a partner of the firm in 2001 and owner in 2007. Mr. Hartman is active in the real estate appraisal profession. He has served multiple terms on the advisory board and in executive positions of the West Michigan Branch of the Appraisal Institute's Great Lakes Chapter. Currently, Mr. Hartman is the President of the Appraisal Institute’s Great Lakes Chapter. He is also serves on the Comprehensive Exam Panel of the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Oetzel has been in the real estate appraisal and counseling business since 1964. He has a Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University and a Master's Degree from Michigan State University specializing in Real Estate Appraising. Mr. Oetzel has served on the board of directors, several committees and as president of the Great Lakes Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Mr. Oetzel has been active at the regional and national level as well. He has served as national chairman of PAMS and the National Education Committee, as the 1987 First Vice President of the Appraisal Institute, and as the 1988 President of the Appraisal Institute. Since 1973, Mr. Oetzel has been actively teaching for the Appraisal Institute and is currently teaching courses and seminars for that organization.
