Ramsland & Vigen, Inc., is a real estate appraisal and consulting firm with offices in Duluth, Minnesota. Principals include Maxwell O. Ramsland, Jr., John M. Vigen, and Gary A. Battuello. The firm, which represents a fourth generation of Duluth real estate interests, was founded in 1976 to provide real estate appraisal and consulting services to the region; it has since expanded those services to a national clientele.

Ramsland &Vigen's professional personnel are nationally accredited members of the Appraisal Institute, the American Society of Real Estate Counselors, and the American Society of Appraisers. The professional staff offers more than 90 years of real estate appraisal and counseling experience which is supported by an extensive data research and GIS system.

The firm's experience ranges from a national litigation appraisal practice to a regional base serving Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Lake Superior region. The national litigation experi-ence has traditionally involved recognized retail, distribution and publishing companies. The firm also specializes in the analysis and valuation of large, intercity, mixed-use developments, hotels, and regional shopping centers. Regional valuation assignments include financial underwriting, eminent domain, economic feasibility, arbitration, bankruptcy, insurance valuation, and government agency representation.

The firm also has valuation expertise in hazardous waste and asbestos problems, government agency large acreage land exchanges, land conservation, and environmental protection assignments.
